If you buy your electricity from Seattle City Light, you are in luck for several  rebates on new, energy efficient appliances.   And if you are in the market for a new washer or a ductless heat pump,  tack on the “Cash for Appliances” program rebates from the State of Washington for double rebates savings!

Look for the ENERGY STAR label while appliance shopping for your new refrigerator, clothes washer, or dishwasher.

According to the ENERGY STAR website, about 13% of an average families energy costs come from running appliances.  If you have an older top load washer or a fridge that is 10 years or older, this is a great opportunity to lessen your carbon footprint.
