Cafe Revo under construction
Tenant Improvement to +4000sf furniture shop to create a Northern Italian restaurant. This building was a turn of the century house that had been converted to a commercial space with various additions throughout the years. StudioDEC helped the owners, Sean and Sofia Goff, negotiate the maze of permitting and building upgrades required with the change of use to a restaurant.

Cafe Solstice II, Seward Park
designed Spring 2006, opened November 2006
Tenant Improvement to existing space to include new bakery/coffee shop. Build out by the owners and Guy Davis.

Update: The owners have since sold this location to Cafe Vita, another local Seattle independent coffee shop.

Frankel Bldg Facade Improvements, Central District

Tenant Improvements/storefront replacement/ADA egress improvements to existing two story mixed use building. I have assisted the owner in construction documents and permitting.

TPN Building Relocation/Renovation
completed, 2000-1

Project Manager for renovation of former lumber mill warehouse into 24,000sf of Class A office space. Warehouse was saved from demolition and barged 1/4″ mile to a new foundation on Seattle’s Fremont waterfront Two new floors of open-plan offices were designed inside, including many recycled building materials. MRJ was the contractor. The Project won a national award and two local ones.

Washington Mutual In-Store Bank Service Centers
1996-1997, Smithsund Architects P.S.

All aspects of the Design process for WaMU in-store banks: schematic design, construction documents, permitting, construction admin, site visits, punch list and close out. Worked with Wamu corporate offices and their vendors on security systems, electrical, lighting, mechanical, etc. These were fast-paced projects located all around the Northwest.
